Best Places to Visit in Mykonos

Who can resist going to the beach, party and experience a new city? Well, Mykonos is simply irresistible. I adore Greece and I especially love Mykonos. The place is unlike any place I’ve visited. The architecture, the beaches and the overall experience are just wonderful! Here are the Best Places to Visit in Mykonos:

FOOD

For this trip, I wasn’t really focused on the restaurants as I was more focused on where should I get the drinks and a place to party. However, I recommend going to Mykonos Town and select a restaurant overlooking the ocean. Mykonos Town has picturesque view and the place has full of little boutiques. If you’ve read my previous blogs, you know I’m obsessed with boutiques. There are plenty of stores selling souvenirs, jewelry, bags, etc. The area is so peaceful to walk around during the day and food prices were not expensive either. My favorite is seafood pasta. If you like wine, you’re in luck as there are less than $5 glass of wine available all over Mykonos.

ACTIVITIES

Mykonos is like Vegas and Ibiza but in my opinion better. Mykonos is way cheaper than Ibiza, beach/ocean view unlike Vegas and you can still get that party vibe. Their beaches are absolutely gorgeous as well. In terms of partying, I recommend the Toy Room. The place is very small and somewhat exclusive but once you get into the place, it’s full of partygoers, a big bear (their signature look) and the place has a balcony overlooking the ocean and Mykonos Town. Such a great view!

Second, if you’d like to party until dawn, visit Astra. The unique thing about this bar is that it has a fiber optic ceiling of the night sky that pulses to the music. You can party all night long!

Third, if you’re looking to party by the beach during the day, visit Paradise Club Mykonos. There are chair rentals by the beach and then in the late afternoon, their bar area with a DJ starts to get super packed and a ton of people party it up. Such a great vibe! Another plus is that the beach is crystal clear.

Fourth, another beach to visit and enjoy is Paraga beach. The area also has a DJ by the bar but the most wonderful thing about this place is just the view and again, relaxing.

Lastly, I love the Semeli bar. This is my favorite bar to get drinks and dance. Again, it’s small but the music was perfect and the surrounding area includes other bars and restaurants. In fact, I discovered the Toy Room because of this place since the Toy Room is literally next door (top level).

HOTEL

I stayed at the cutest hotel called Hotel Petinos. As you know, Mykonos is full of white painted houses and villages and my hotel is no exception. The cutest thing about the hotel is the vines around it and I think there may have been grapes on it. haha! This is just a few steps away from the beach where you could rent chairs to layout all day along with numerous restaurants nearby. The hotel rate includes free breakfast as well and if you’d like to go to Mykonos Town, the bus stop is in front of the hotel which is very convenient. I absolutely recommend this place!
