Top 5 Reasons to Stay at La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, CA

I’ve heard about Palm Springs, CA. However, I’ve never been which is quite surprising since it’s only a few hours away from my residence. The place is almost synonymous to Coachella or a fancy desert getaway. Most recently, the Bachelorette television show for Claire Crawley and Tayshia Adams were filmed here and specifically at the La Quinta Resort & Club, a Waldorf Astoria hotel. For those of you who are in the miles/points system, that means a Hilton Resort! Here are the Top 5 Reasons to Stay at La Quinta Resort & Club.

  • PRIVACY–The resort is set up as casitas, suites and villas. From my experience and looking at the hotel set up, there are no floors upon floors of hotel rooms with elevators to use and close neighbors. My casita was in a corner so I only had one neighbor to my left side. It was also a few steps from one of the pools. A definite, plus!
  • POOLS–The resort has over 40 pools which includes a 21 and over pool. The casitas are actually grouped to where there’s always a pool near you. In my case, it was right outside my casita which was so convenient. However, the main pool was where I spent most of my time. It has a bar (of course!) and it’s overlooking the mountains which was a pretty great view in my opinion, as shown below.
  • RESTAURANT–Since this is a Waldorf Astoria property, I had very high hopes in terms of the dining experience and this place did not disappoint, Morgan’s at the Desert. From the entrance, to the bar to the dining area, it felt luxurious. The service was impeccable and the food (let’s not forget this part) was delicious. Also, be sure to try the scallops, seabass or short rib when you’re there!
  • SPA–Since it was my birthday getaway, I had to try the Spa. The price was somewhat reasonable compared to prices at other Waldorf Astoria resort (ahem, Cabo San Lucas). The Spa was large and ohhh sooo relaxing. I got the 80 minute massage and it was worth every penny. I highly recommend getting a service here. It’s one of the best massages I’ve ever had.

  • PROPERTY–Because it is such a large property, there are plenty to do for everyone. The resort has 5 golf courses and numerous tennis & pickleball courts. I don’t think you’ll ever be bored when you stay here. You can relax by the pool and spa OR you can do outdoor activities. Your choice! Below is the property map which just shows how incredibly HUGE the property is.

Overall, my first time in Palm Springs/Palm Desert was a success. I won’t hesitate to go back again especially at this resort, La Quinta Resort & Club. If you’re wondering how much it costs in terms of Hilton points, it was 80,000 Hilton points per night. However, as you may know, the number of points really just depends on the date/availability of the resort.
