Best Places to Visit in Punta Cana

Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic is the first Caribbean destination I’ve been to as well as the first all inclusive restaurant I’ve experienced. Like any of the other Caribbean locations I’ve traveled to, it certainly impressed me. Here are the Best Places to Visit in Punta Cana.

FOOD

Since I was booked an all inclusive hotel, Chic Royalton Punta Cana, most of the food choices I had were from the hotel restaurants. I recommend the Hunter Restaurant which is a steak house. Even though it’s all inclusive resort, the quality was great. My steak was cooked to perfection and the drinks/sides were amazing as well. Also, I recommend trying Pescari which is the Asian cuisine restaurant. Their sushi was good and the best part is…you can order as many as you want! haha. Another place is Elements which is the breakfast buffet. The place had a variety of food which included a create your own omelet and lots of other healthy choices.

Outside of the resort, try the restaurants at the Hard Rock hotel. They’re amazing and be sure to order a lychee martini!

ACTIVITIES

Throughout my blog posts, you probably know that I love just chilling by the beach or at the resort pool overlooking the beach and have a few drinks/food beach side. Fun fact: I rarely do any sea excursions because I can’t swim! haha. The only time I’m doing an excursion is if I’m in a boat/yacht/catamaran just enjoying the view, with drinks on hand of course.

For this trip, I did just that, layout by the beach, book on hand and have my champagne. The clear water, cool wind mixed with sunny day is the perfect climate for enjoying the Caribbean.

Aside from the pool or beach, I also like to enjoy a good sauna experience. If you stay at the Chic Royalton Punta Cana and get a spa service, the sauna is included. They have the super cold, super hot and just medium temperature. It was quite the experience! I couldn’t do the full body on the super cold area as it was way too cold for me!

Additionally, if you like to experience the night life in Punta Cana, head on to Oro nighclub. The place feels like a small version of a Vegas night club. It’s full of tables, lights and bottle service! The music was great, exactly like the music you’d hear in the U.S. nightclub.

HOTEL

It’s not surprising that the hotel I stayed and recommend is Chic Royalton Punta Cana. I chose this hotel because it just opened a few years ago and it was relatively new. Additionally, the place exuded young and lively which it was! There were plenty of young Europeans who stayed in the hotel. I feel like I got incredibly lucky to experience a fantastic all inclusive resort the first time around.

Overall, Punta Cana is marvelous. It’s truly relaxing and relatively cheap especially if you book an all inclusive hotel. I absolutely recommend checking it out!
