Best Things to do in San Diego
With Covid-19 and quarantine, many of us are exploring our own cities and appreciate its beauty. Personally, I feel quite lucky to be living in San Diego during these times as there are plenty of beautiful places to explore. On top of that, we have the best, if not almost perfect weather. If you’re planning a trip to San Diego, here are the Best Things to do in San Diego:
BEACH–Of course, you have to check out the California beaches. In San Diego area, you can visit Coronado beach, Mission beach and Pacific beach (“PB”). If you’re a little up north, you can check out Solana beach and Carlsbad area beaches. Basically, there are plenty to chose from. My personal favorites are Coronado and Solana Beach, both have easy parking and just gorgeous. If you are looking to party, then I recommend PB.
FOOD–There are plenty to chose from…Mexican food to seafood. I love options. For Mexican food, I recommend checking out Puesto located in La Jolla, Seaport Village and the newly open Mission Valley locations. Their tacos and margaritas are absolutely delicious. Another choice is Javier’s which is located in the UTC Mall in La Jolla. I love their enchiladas and mango margarita. For seafood, I recommend, Water Grill in the Gaslamp area and Eddie V’s in the Seaport Village area. You can’t go wrong with a fish entree and lobster roll at Water Grill or the crab fried rice and the Chilean seabass at Eddie V’s. For Italian, I recommend Barbusa in Little Italy. My personal fave is their pizzas and Frutti di Mare. For French food, I highly recommend Et Viola in North Park.
DRINKS–Since during quarantine, the drinks we can get can only be obtained (mostly) where places serve both food and alcohol, here are the places I recommend trying to get the best drinks:
- Born & Raised–Not only does this place have great steaks, it also has one of the best drink selections. My personal favorite is a French 75.
- Eddie V’s–I recommend getting The Maverick.
- Polite Provisions–The place serves Chinese food and plenty of cocktails to chose from.
- Et Viola–My personal favorite is the cucumber gimlet.
