Best Places to Visit in Cabo San Lucas
The first time I visited Cabo in 2013, my work paid for it. Lucky, right? Since then, I’ve visited Cabo numerous times partly due to the close proximity from San Diego, two hours away. I love the beaches and the laid back feel of Cabo on top of the amazing food. Here are the best places to visit in Cabo:
FOOD
El Farallon is my favorite restaurant in Cabo. This restaurant has a wonderful view of the ocean. The first time I was here I sat in the very front table where I could hear the ocean waves crashing. In fact, I felt a drip of the ocean on me due to the big waves. I literally thought it was drizzling and about to rain. haha! The food is out of this world. I had lobster, white fish, salad, and churros. Omg yum! To top it off, El Farallon also has a champagne bar. Who can say no to that?
Cocina del Mar is similar to El Farallon where you are seated on a rocky promontory surrounded by the crashing ocean waves. I suggest dining here near sunset as the place has an unbelievable view. As far as the menu, I chose the 3 course meal which was oh soooo good! I had a steak here. Another yum!
CLUBS
Can’t go to Cabo without dancing the night away! My favorite place to dance is Mandala. The music is similar to the songs played in the US clubs/bars. The drink prices are reasonable as well. I had a lot of great memories in this club including dancing with my mom. haha!
Another fun place is near Mandala known as Pink Kitty. If you like dancing with the locals, this is the place for you. I feel like this place has less tourists and more locals going out. I love that since I enjoy seeing how the locals party.
Third, Cabo Wabo is the place to be if you like a live band playing old and new songs alike. This is more for the older crowd but nonetheless fun! This is one of the most relaxed places to go out in, meaning you don’t need to dress up. Wear your fave shorts, t-shirt and go!
Lastly, I recommend Me Cabo for day drinking. The place has a DJ and a huge pool overlooking the ocean. It’s like Vegas but with a view of the ocean. Isn’t that the best of both worlds?
HOTELS
Since I’ve been to Cabo so many times, I’ve been to quite a few hotels. My favorite hotel in Cabo is Resort at Pedregal. Each room has an ocean view with a private plunge pool so it looks like each room has an infinity pool. Absolutely amazing! Second, my room included a bottle of tequila—a great tequila too! Third, the room rate includes daily stock of refreshments (water, juice, etc). Fourth, this place has the best shower head. I took a really loooooong time getting out of the shower since it felt so relaxing. Lastly, the place is so clean and the room set up/furniture is just very fabulous.
Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa is a great hotel. I was upgraded to their master suite and it was sooo huge! Not sure how but I felt so lucky! In comparison, it was bigger than my apartment in San Diego! I love the ocean view, a separate living room and kitchen. Also, the master suite includes 2 bathrooms and a huge bedroom. Additionally, this place has an infinity pool for adults only.
Pueblo Bonito Rose Resort & Spa is great because it is an all inclusive hotel. I like it when my drinks and food are covered in the room rate but then again, my work paid for this hotel. It was FREE for me. The resort is huge and laying outside with the view of the ocean is wonderful as well. However, this resort is located in the busy area of Cabo so you are constantly bothered by people selling you all kinds of items. Ughhh it gets annoying after awhile. haha!
Overall, I love Cabo. The food, beach, change of scenery, and proximity to San Diego makes it my go-to beach vacation. If you’re interested in another beach vacation, read my blog post on Best Places to Visit in Nassau, click here.
