Sri Panwa, one of the best hotels in Phuket, Thailand
Growing up in the Philippines, I’ve always been intrigued about the other parts of the world. I didn’t necessarily put Thailand on my list. However, after seeing pictures of their gorgeous beaches, mountains, and temples, I decided to see it for myself. For me, hotels contribute to my overall vacation experience. If you are the same way, then I highly suggest you stay at Sri Panwa, one of the best hotels in Phuket, Thailand.
First, Sri Panwa hotel is located at the very tip of the Cape Panwa Peninsula. This means the hotel is overlooking the ocean and there’s not a lot of distractions (boats/lost tourists, etc). The hotel is made up of luxury villas and suites with a pool in each room. Yes, your own pool overlooking the ocean! Additionally, the room has such modern amenities with clear glass overlooking the ocean for a terrific view.
Second, Sri Panwa has one of the best rooftop bars in the world called Baba Nest. In fact, it’s ranked number 2 by cntraveler (read article here). Baba nest is on top of one of the hotel’s buildings and you get a 360 view of the ocean. It is quite unbelievable. Hotel guests and visitors should reserve a spot immediately since it gets filled up right away as there’s limited seating and it is open from 5:30pm. The place offers appetizers and cocktails along with a great sunset view. What more can you ask for?
Third, Sri Panwa has two pools in various parts of the resort and of course beach seating. Tip: If you go during rainy season (June for me and it didn’t rain except one night), there’s hardly any tourists and the hotel rate is cheaper. It even felt like I had a private pool in one of their pool areas with two personal cocktail server/bartender. No wait, no distractions. This is the best, I tell you!
Fourth, the hotel rate includes breakfast and beer/snacks/ in the room, restocked daily. When I arrived in my room, there was a plate full of rambutan (fruit in Asia), a few noodle cups, beers, juice and water. There were also snacks available. The hotel offers daily buffet style breakfast and made to order items like pancakes. Omg, their chocolate banana pancakes were the best I’ve ever had.
Lastly, Sri Panwa’s food is sooooo good. They have Chinese (Baba Chino), sushi (Baba Iki) and Thai food (Baba Soul Food) restaurants. There’s also a grill called Baba Hot Box. I tried their food when I was in the pool area and all I can say is WOW! I will go back to this place just for the food!
There are so many things that captivated me in this resort. Not only the top 5 items mentioned above but also the service, landscape and the feeling of relaxation when I was there. Speaking of relaxation, they have the most soothing setup for massage in their CoolSpa. Although I didn’t get a massage, I can almost guarantee it’s amazing just by walking around the area. However, be sure to have extra money on your budget as spas can get super expensive.
Overall, I will absolutely come back to this resort over and over again. I cannot wait to go back to Asia and experience this resort a second time. Have you been here or in Thailand? Comment below.
