Best Places to Visit in Ibiza
Ibiza, one of the best party places in the world. I can tell you that the place is gorgeous, although it is expensive. I recommend coming here in June-September months and below are my suggestions for the best places to visit in Ibiza:
FOOD
I enjoyed dining at these two restaurants. My first recommendation is STK Ibiza. STK has locations all over the US and I have been a fan of this restaurant (Chicago & San Diego) for years. After eating seafood all over Europe this past summer, I was craving a really great steak dinner and STK Ibiza, did not disappoint. Overall, the dining experience was so lovely which included a dance show in the middle of the restaurant on a Sunday night! My second recommendation is Juan Y Andrea (located in Formentera, an island off of Ibiza, about an hour via ferry). This place has the best view of the beach/yachts and known for celebrity sightings…I may have seen a soccer player while dining here. haha! (my fave order: seafood pasta)
PARTY PLACES
In my opinion, the best places to party in Ibiza are Ushuaia and Pacha. First, Ushuaia has so many famous and up & coming DJs in the summer (check the line-up on their website). My travel tip is to get a hotel room in Ushuaia because your $90 tickets for two are included in the hotel rate and you can go in/out of your hotel room as you please, thereby, saving you money by consuming alcohol in your room instead of the ~$20 very diluted drink at the bar. Second, Pacha is also a great place to party but I recommend buying tickets ahead of time to avoid the lines. Solomon was playing when I was there and was lucky enough to be in the front row VIP area, such a fun experience!
HOTELS
I have been to three hotels in Ibiza with my first time being in 2016 and as recently as 2018. In 2016, I booked the Sirenus Hotel Goleta Tres Carabelas & Spa and Ushuaia. Sirenus was an older hotel with a 4 star rating. However, the bed was uncomfortable, water went out into the hallway, etc. Needless to say, I would not recommend this hotel. On the other hand, Ushuaia was exactly what I needed after 2 days at Sirenus. The hotel room was overlooking the music stage and pool, the room felt immaculately clean and the service was impeccable. Additionally, I was just a few steps away from the beach so I absolutely recommend staying here.
Likewise, I recommend the Gran Hotel Montesol Ibiza, Curio Collection by Hilton in Ibiza Town. This hotel is across from the marina/ferry to Formentera and it is surrounded by restaurants and little shops. Score! I had a welcome champagne drink delivered to my room and I must say the bathroom is one of the best hotel bathrooms I’ve seen.
