How did I get 2 free hotel nights in Sonoma, CA?
The blog title says “FREE” but technically nothing is free right? I opened a Hyatt credit card by Chase bank a few years ago. After the minimum spend within certain months, I earned 60,000 bonus points. This is enough to get a few nights at any hotels. Typically, a decent hotel (category 4) is about 15,000 points. The question is…how did I get 2 free hotel nights in Sonoma, CA? One option is to use the 60,000 bonus points I received for opening the credit card years ago which I still have. However, I chose to save the points for future travel plans. The Hyatt credit card has an annual…

I like traveling especially internationally. Lately due to Covid, I’ve sticked to the closest country, Mexico and have tried a few hotels nearby, a staycation. One of the hotels I stayed at in 2022 is the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California. The Resort at Pelican Hill reminds me of an Italian getaway. Keep in mind, paying your credit cards on time and in full…

I’ve heard about Palm Springs, CA. However, I’ve never been which is quite surprising since it’s only a few hours away from my residence. Most recently, the Bachelorette television show for Claire Crawley and Tayshia Adams were filmed here and specifically at the La Quinta Resort & Club, a Waldorf Astoria hotel. For those of you who are in the miles/points system, that means a Hilton Resort! Here are the Top 5 Reasons to Stay at La Quinta Resort & Club. How I spent $0 for a 3 days/2 nights stay at Solaz Resort Los Cabos?
Vacation is always nice but paying for it, not so much. Years ago, I was fascinated with how to use credit cards and bonus points to get my dream vacation. It all started with my first trip to Europe (FIRST CLASS round trip!) using American Airlines points. Since then, I’ve always tried to get my trips paid for by points completely or at least partially. Recently, I spent 3 days and 2 nights at Marriott Solaz Resort Los Cabos which cost me $0 for the hotel stay. Here’s how: I had an SPG (part of Marriott) credit card from American Express a few years ago and I received an offer…
